पुस्तकालयाध्यक्ष ग्रेड-2 (Librarian Grade-2) के कुल 300 पद है।
उनमें से 252 पद गैर अनुसूचित (Non Schedule Area) क्षेत्र के लिए है।
45 पद अनुसूचित क्षेत्र (Schedule Area) और 3 पद सहरिया के लिए है।

राष्ट्रीय अध्यापक शिक्षा परिषद/सरकार द्वारा मान्यता प्राप्त पुस्तकालय विज्ञान में डिग्री या डिप्लोमा।
और यूजीसी द्वारा मान्यता प्राप्त स्नातक या समकक्ष परीक्षा।
देवनागरी लिपि में लिखी हिन्दी का कार्यसाधक ज्ञान और राजस्थानी संस्कृति का ज्ञान।

पे मैट्रिक्स लेवल L-2 (Grade Pay -4200)
राज्य सरकार के नियमानुसार परिविक्षाकाल में नियत मासिक वेतन देय होगा।
Rpsc Librarian Grade-2 Syllabus
Librarian Grade-2 भर्ती परीक्षा 400 अंको की होगी।
उसमें दो पेपर होगें प्रत्येक पेपर 200 अंक और समयावधि 2 घंटा रहेगा।
प्रश्न पत्र में बहुविकल्पीय 100 प्रश्न होंगे।
उत्तरों के मूल्यांकन में Negative Marking लागू होगा।
प्रत्येक गलत उत्तर के लिए उस विशेष प्रश्न के लिए निर्धारित अंकों में से 1/3 अंक काटे जाएंगे।
न्यूनतम योग्यता अंक 40% होंगे।
बशर्ते कि अनुसूचित जाति और अनुसूचित जनजाति के उम्मीदवारों के लिए उपरोक्त निर्धारित प्रतिशत में 5% की छूट दी जाएगी।
पहले पेपर में निम्नलिखित विषय शामिल होंगे: –
(i) राजस्थान का भौगोलिक, ऐतिहासिक, सांस्कृतिक एवं सामान्य ज्ञान।
(ii) राजस्थान के समसामयिक मामले
(iii) विश्व और भारत का सामान्य ज्ञान
(iv) शैक्षिक मनोविज्ञान।
दुसरे पेपर में निम्नलिखित विषय शामिल होंगे: –
(i) Universe of knowledge, Structure and Attributes, Modes of formation of subjects. Different types of subjects. Universe of subjects as mapped in different schemes of Classification.
(ii) Bibliographic description. Catalogue purpose, structure and types of physical forms including OPAC filling rules. Normative principles of cataloguing. Overview of principles of practice in document description. Current trends in standardisation, description and exchange. Standard code of cataloging.
(iii) Methods of knowledge organisation. General theory of Library
classification. Normative principles of classification and their applications. Species of Library classification. Standard schemes of classification and their features, CC, DDC, UDC.
Notation: need, functions, characteristics. Design and development of schemes library classification, standard subdivision index. Trends in Library classification.
(iv) Subject Classification, Principles of subject classification. Subject heading lists and their features.
